Великобритания объявила о развертывании истребителей Typhoon Королевских ВВС для защиты Саудовской Аравии от участившихся атак йеменских хуситов. Решение принято на фоне усиления обстрелов королевства со стороны поддерживаемых Ираном хуситов. По данным властей Йемена, в понедельник в результате удара хуситов по тренировочному лагерю сил безопасности, поддерживаемых Саудовской Аравией, погибли 58 человек. Издание The National сообщает, что миссия по защите Саудовской Аравии будет включать истребители Typhoon. Британские СМИ, включая Daily Mail и The Mirror, пишут о создании «оборонительного щита» над королевством. Politico Europe подчеркивает, что в Министерстве обороны заявили об использовании самолетов только в оборонительных целях.
