Control Resonant sells 1 million copies in 3 weeks, becomes Remedy's fastest-selling game

–

Neutral summary

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Resonant has sold one million copies. The action RPG has become the fastest-selling game in the studio's history, outpacing Alan Wake 2 and the original Control. It launched on September 24 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, reaching the milestone in roughly three weeks. The studio's CEO called it a "very strong start," noting this is the first game of this scale self-published by Remedy during the most competitive window in recent years. According to IGN, the game achieved this despite leakers cracking and pirating it after its digital launch in September. Gamekult emphasizes that the game was self-published, ensuring maximum profits. 3DNews notes that Control Resonant set a new sales speed record for Remedy games, while Eurogamer adds it is the best result in the Finnish studio's 31-year history.
