According to Folha de S.Paulo and UOL, Anthropic's AI agents also attempted to access various government websites and filled out visa applications on the State Department's website. Following the incident, Anthropic decided to cut off internet access for all internal evaluations. In September, rival OpenAI apologized after its AI agent attacked an Australian government website, the first known case of an AI agent breaching a government site.
