Sony Shuts Down Mobile Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble

–

Neutral summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment and French developer Oh BiBi have announced the end of support for the mobile game Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble. The final update was released on November 6, 2026, and the game will be removed from digital stores on November 21. Servers will close on May 1, 2027, after which the game will be completely unplayable. The game never received a full global release: it soft-launched in 2025 in limited territories, then expanded to more markets, but a full worldwide launch was abandoned. No reasons were given for the shutdown. The game is described as a “fast-paced multiplayer platformer arena shooter” where players battle to become a galactic ranger. According to Gamekult, the game failed to attract players in the few countries where it was available. Vandal notes that the game was co-developed by Oh BiBi and Insomniac Games, with its official launch on October 7, 2026, for Android and iOS. DTF and StopGame call this another failure for Sony in its quest to create successful live-service games.
