В четверг, 15 октября, хуситы нанесли ракетный и беспилотный удар по президентскому дворцу Аль-Маашик в Адене — временной столице Йемена, где располагается резиденция международно признанного правительства страны. Саудовская Аравия обвинила Иран в подстрекательстве к эскалации конфликта. ООН осудила усиление атак со стороны поддерживаемых Тегераном повстанцев. Канада посоветовала своим гражданам избегать поездок в аэропорт Эр-Рияда и необязательных поездок в другие аэропорты Саудовской Аравии, отметив, что главный аэропорт столицы остаётся закрытым. Глава МИД хуситов Абдулвахид Абу Рас заявил RT, что группировка готова к мирным переговорам, но требует от Эр-Рияда снять блокаду и вывести войска с йеменской территории.
