В понедельник, 21 сентября, в Великобритании произошёл второй за две недели сбой в работе системы управления воздушным движением, из-за которого были отменены почти 200 рейсов, а сотни других задержаны. Причиной стала техническая проблема в диспетчерском центре NATS в Престуике в Шотландии, затронувшая воздушное пространство Северной и Центральной Англии, Шотландии и Северной Ирландии. Представитель NATS назвал неполадку «проблемой с подключением», которая была быстро устранена, но последствия ощущались до конца дня. Задержки и отмены затронули аэропорты Манчестера, Глазго, Белфаста, Бристоля, а также лондонские Гатвик и Лондон-Сити. По данным The Mirror, всего было отменено 227 рейсов, при этом только у Ryanair задержано более 140 рейсов, затронувших около 25 000 пассажиров. Авиакомпании Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air и Jet2 потребовали срочных мер и отставки главы NATS Мартина Ролфа; easyJet заявила, что инцидент «в очередной раз ставит под вопрос устойчивость» системы. Премьер-министр Энди Бернхем, направляясь на заседание ООН в Нью-Йорке, отказался прямо поддержать Ролфа и заявил, что ситуация «явно серьёзная» и «требует полного расследования», добавив, что это вопрос к министру транспорта Хайди Александер. Предыдущий сбой 8–9 сентября, вызванный программной ошибкой, привёл к отмене более 2000 рейсов и затронул более 330 000 пассажиров. Министр транспорта Хайди Александер написала в соцсети X, что проблема уже решена и системы возвращаются к работе, признав, что это «чрезвычайно неприятно для пассажиров».
