Возглавляемая Саудовской Аравией коалиция заявила, что во вторник перехватила и уничтожила дрон, запущенный йеменскими хуситами к югу от Мекки, до того как он вошёл в запретное воздушное пространство над священным городом. Представитель коалиции Турки аль-Малики назвал это второй попыткой хуситов атаковать воздушное пространство Мекки и пообещал принять «необходимые сдерживающие меры», а Эр-Рияд объявил безопасность святынь «красной линией». Хуситы отрицают атаку на Мекку, но заявляют, что сбили саудовский истребитель F-15 в провинции Мариб, опубликовав соответствующее видео. Турция осудила нападение на Мекку и призвала прекратить удары по Саудовской Аравии, а США предупредили своих граждан о необходимости пересмотреть поездки в королевство.
