Центры по контролю и профилактике заболеваний США (CDC) в пятницу объявили о завершении крупнейшей в истории страны вспышки циклоспороза, связанной с салатом айсберг от компании Taylor Farms, выращенным в центральной Мексике. По данным CDC, зарегистрировано 12 883 случая заболевания в 21 штате, более 500 человек были госпитализированы, два человека умерли в Мичигане. Управление по санитарному надзору за качеством пищевых продуктов и медикаментов США (FDA) продолжает расследование того, как паразит попал в пищевую цепочку.
