Selon The Telegraph, la demande de révision judiciaire d'Andrew a été déposée plus tôt cette année et a récemment été approuvée par un juge de la Haute Cour. Une audience privée plus tard cette semaine décidera si certains documents judiciaires liés à la révision doivent être rendus publics. Des rapports indiquent également que le roi a clairement fait savoir que le soutien financier qu'il apporte à son frère ne doit pas être utilisé pour financer la contestation judiciaire. Des amis de l'ancien prince affirment qu'il est "absolument convaincu" qu'il réussira. Inquirer.net décrit cette démarche comme sans précédent pour un membre de la royauté à l'époque moderne.
