L'Argentine donne un ultimatum de deux semaines au Royaume-Uni sur le pétrole des Malouines

Milei a chargé le ministère des Affaires étrangères et les équipes juridiques de lancer la procédure. Sea Lion est développé par la société israélienne Navitas Petroleum et la société britannique Rockhopper Exploration, avec un début d'extraction prévu en 2028. Le ministre argentin des Affaires étrangères, Pablo Quirno, a déclaré que Londres prenait des mesures unilatérales et a confirmé le projet de recours aux tribunaux. Le président a également ordonné une enquête sur THALES UK LIMITED concernant un vol sur la route Malouines–Punta Arenas sans autorisation argentine, avec des sanctions prévues. La Grande-Bretagne aurait renforcé les défenses des îles avec quatre nouveaux avions de chasse Typhoon. Milei a écrit sur X : « Les Malvinas sont argentines, et cela se défend par des faits, pas par des mots. »
