Le duc de Sussex, qui n'a pas parlé à son frère depuis quatre ans, a déclaré vouloir « arranger les choses » avec sa famille. « Il y a assez de drames dans le monde et assez de drames dans la vie des gens pour continuer à avoir des problèmes familiaux. Cela n'en vaut pas la peine », a-t-il confié à GQ, cité par Channel NewsAsia. Harry a également affirmé que « les cicatrices restent à jamais », tout en soulignant l'importance de laisser de côté les griefs passés. L'interview a été enregistrée fin septembre à New York. Un porte-parole a ensuite clarifié ses remarques sur ceux qui « ne veulent pas arranger les choses », selon Fox News. Clarín rapporte que la maison royale n'a pas émis de réponse officielle et le considère comme un citoyen privé. The Mirror et le Sydney Morning Herald notent que Harry n'a pas reconnu son propre rôle dans la brouille qui dure depuis des années. L'éloignement entre le duc et le reste de la famille royale remonte à son déménagement aux États-Unis il y a six ans.
