US President Donald Trump, denied the prize again, lashed out at the Norwegian committee, saying on his Truth Social platform that it was "incredible" he did not win, and listed his achievements, including ending "eight wars", freeing hostages and "winning a war in Venezuela". Before the announcement, bookmakers' favourites had included Sudan's Emergency Response Rooms, Ukraine's Mykola Kuleba, Save the Children and Pope Leo, according to media reports.
