Students set off on foot from Zaječar to Belgrade rally 'Victory Calls'

–

Neutral summary

Students and citizens of Serbia set off on foot from Zaječar this morning, planning to reach Belgrade on 21 October ahead of the final pre-election rally of the 'Students' List — Students Win' ticket, named 'Victory Calls'. The rally is scheduled for 22 October at Slavija Square. According to Beta, Nova.rs, N1, Danas, NIN, Insajder and Blic, columns will also depart from Gornji Milanovac, Valjevo, Šabac and Novi Sad. N1 reports that three columns are heading to Belgrade — from the north, east and west of Serbia — with the hardest route expected tomorrow. Vuk Stanković, a journalism student at the Faculty of Political Sciences walking from Zaječar, told Insajder that the main goal of the march is to urge citizens to attend the rally on 22 October and boost electoral turnout. N1 also describes a 'double welcome' for the students in Bor: supporters on one side of the street and backers of the Serbian Progressive Party on the other. Outlets differ on the arrival date: Beta, Danas and Insajder name 21 October, while Blic and Nova.rs mention 22 October.
